Who are gypsy + brown?

We are a family run label based in Gippsland, Victoria.  

Laura is the voice of reason. The calm.

Simon has crazy ideas. Simon needs Laura.  

Lenny is the chief product tester, quality control officer and the inspiration for gypsy + brown. 

Laura was lovingly referred to as Gypsy by her favourite fashionista and creative soul, her beautiful grandmother Nancy. Together, we are known to our friends and family as gypsy + brown. Under this banner, we celebrated our wedding in 2017 and launched our label in 2020.

As parents ourselves, we are passionate about creating quality garments for children that they will eventually outgrow but not outlast. Our clothes are made for play. To be lived in, to be durable, to be loved, washed and worn again!!! Then to be re-loved and re worn again. 

gypsy + brown captures the joy of being a child. 

We want to deliver childrenswear that is produced ethically and sustainably. We believe in slow fashion. Although fast fashion may be cheap, someone, somewhere is paying for it. 

In short, our clothes are something we are happy to put our name to. Clothes we are happy to put our own child in. A product we are happy to stand by.
